Spring 2015: Welcome Back Party  #SehatiSejiwa

Welcome back everyone! It has become a tradition to kick off the semester with a welcoming party. This time, our Welcome Back Party is themed #SehatiSejiwa, as a portrayal of the strong bond within our small community.

This party is to gather all the Malaysians in one place after the long Summer break, introducing them with the newcomers, and let the students form new friendships.

We started the event with a short speech from our president, Dylan. Then, we introduced the committees and newcomers. As of 3rd September 2016, MSSUI has 52 registered students, and 5 of them are freshman standing. We also had a special guest from Singapore, Puan Amanah who is currently in Iowa City for International Writing Program. She stayed with us throughout the event and we could not be any happier to host her.

What fun of a party without games and food?

This time we decided to bring things outdoor. Everyone enjoyed a picnic potluck before we play the game called "Squirrel, Fire and Tent".

The event ended with a group photo. We hope everyone enjoys the activity and we cannot wait to see you guys again throughout this semester.
